Kingdoms Of Amalur (2010-2012, 38 Studios)
In early 2010, Duncan was brought on as Senior Composer/Audio Designer at Curt Schilling's 38 Studios, working on the Copernicus project - an ambitious fantasy MMO. Over the next two years, Watt served as lead audio designer on a number of pipelines, and wrote more than three hours of music for the project. Regrettably, the company imploded during development, and the project was never released.
The music assets are in receivership, and cannot be made public. The above video is a work-in-progress teaser trailer, released to the public in 2012 right before the company shut down. The Cinematics and Marketing teams asked Watt to compose the underscore, and to record and produce the material. As a work-in-progress, this is an example of an orchestra sketch (performed with all virtual instruments), prepared for intended live orchestra recording, which never ended up happening.
