BIOSHOCK INFINITE (2013, IRRATIONAL/TAKE-TWO)
In late 2012, Irrational contracted Fastestmanintheworld to compose, perform and record a number of period-accurate pieces for BioShock Infinite, the third installment in the BioShock series.
The game released to near-universal acclaim, including perfect scores from multiple reviewers. Nine pieces provided by Fastestmanintheworld are featured in the game, from traditional Chinese court music to fife-and-drum corps, from taiko ensemble to Chopin and Schubert. The above video features excerpts from the game's soundtrack, including Joplin's masterpiece "Solace", featured prominently throughout the project alongside Garry Schyman's brilliant original orchestral score.
ROLE
Composed, recorded and performed historical source music. Arranged, recorded and performed a number of period-appropriate piano pieces, including a version of Scott Joplin's "Solace", which is used throughout the game. Arranged, recorded and performed additional historical source music.
